Alfie Oakes Hosts Educational Field Trips for Florida Youth at Oakes Farms

A new video was recently published on the Alfie for America YouTube page that provides an inside look at the educational field trips that Alfie Oakes hosts at the Oakes Farm educational nursery. Talented journalist, Gina Tomlinson, joined Alfie to see the hands-on learning experience that kids experience during a typical field trip.

In the video, Alfie discusses how he purchased the land with the idea of giving back in mind. The field trips provide an opportunity for kids to learn the truth about healthy food. A lot of marketing dollars have been spent to twist the meaning of healthy in America. Oakes Farms looks to teach children what qualities they should look for in their food to ensure they are getting the proper nutrients they need to grow and stay healthy. Before COVID-19, Oakes Farm was hosting 50-60 field trips a year. The farm is now once again ramping up those numbers.

A field trip to Oakes Farms provides children with a better idea of how the food industry operates. The food they find on the shelves of Seed to Table doesn’t just appear out of thin air. Sustainable farming practices make all the difference. Alfie Oakes is proud to say he receives hundreds of letters from parents thanking Oakes Farms for teaching their children about healthy, natural foods.
